Covers’ Christmas jumper day: funds donated to local hospice charities

The team at Covers Timber & Builders Merchants in Chichester and the team at Covers OTBS in Bexleyheath have donated money to their local hospices, after taking part in Christmas Jumper Day.

The staff at the company sported a variety of seasonal fashion choices including festive sweaters and jumpers in return for a £2.00 donation.

St Wilfrid’s Hospice in Chichester provides tailored end of life care both in the community and at its hospice. It supports patients living with a terminal illness, and their family and friends. Demelza Hospice Care for Children in Bexleyheath provides care and support for seriously ill children, young people and their families across East Sussex, Kent and South East London. It is almost entirely dependent on the generosity of individuals, businesses, groups, schools and clubs.

Henry Green, Managing Director of Covers, said:

“We are delighted to have been part of Christmas Jumper Day again this year – it’s always wonderful to see the efforts our staff put in and the fabulous array of seasonally inspired outfits. Our local hospices rely heavily on funding to operate and we are committed to do whatever we can to help them continue their vital work. We hope that our latest donation will make a difference to all the patients and their families who they are supporting this festive season.”
