Covers donates to Chichester foodbank

The team at Covers Timber and Builders Merchants in Chichester has donated more than 18kg of essential items, including coffee, chocolate, tinned ham, and biscuits, to the Chichester District Foodbank.

The company, which is based on Quarry Lane, organised for delivery of the donations to the charity, which helps to tackle hunger in the local area and provide families struggling to feed themselves with much needed supplies.

Sarah Adams, Process Manager at Chichester District Foodbank, said:

On behalf of Chichester District Foodbank, I would like to thank everyone at Covers for their generous donations of food to help those who are in crisis in the Chichester District. The project relies solely on donations from the community and we really value the support from Covers.”

Helen Fenigan,of Covers Chichester, added:

“It’s a pleasure to contribute to the local community by donating to initiatives such as the Chichester District Foodbank. It’s a sad fact that many families are now struggling to feed themselves without the help of others. This is an important cause and one we will continue to support in 2020.”
