Covers employee’s charity hair chop raises more than £2,000

An employee from Covers Timber & Builders Merchants in Chichester has raised £1,340 for the children’s charity Little Princess Trust after chopping off her hair. As part of Covers’ match funding scheme, the company agreed to match the amount raised by up to £1,000, taking the final amount to £2,340.

Emma Bailey, who is a Management Accountant at the company, wanted to do something special for a worthy cause during her 30th birthday year. Emma’s original fundraising target was £550 – the amount it costs Little Princess Trust to provide a real hair wig to a young person.

She said:

“I am thrilled to have raised enough money to cover not just my original goal of one wig, but at least four. This means more children will benefit from the funds raised. I am so grateful to all my supporters, including Covers, and would like to thank them for their generosity in helping me to achieve such a great fundraising total for the charity.”

Henry Green, Managing Director of Covers, added:

“Well done, Emma, on such a great achievement. We hope the money raised will make a big difference to the children and families supported by the Little Princess Trust.”
