Covers helps Sidlesham playground to improve facilities

Covers Timber & Builders Merchants in Chichester has donated three bulk bags of play pit sand to Sidlesham Parish Council for one of its local play areas.

Playgrounds were one of the many facilities closed to the public last year when the UK went into lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, under the most recent lockdown rules, they have been allowed to remain open.

Caroline Mackenzie, Parish Clerk to Sidlesham Parish Council, said:

“We are very grateful to local businesses for their support of the playground which is used by numerous children throughout Manhood Peninsular. In particular, we would like to thank Covers for providing the sand for the sand pit.”

Martyn Beck, Depot Manager of Covers Chichester, added:

“With limited activities available over the past few months, playgrounds have played an important part in ensuring children can remain active and outdoors. We were delighted to make this donation to help enhance the park in Sidlesham and ensure the sand pit could continue to be enjoyed by children and families.”
