Covers Timber and Builders Merchants has been named Merchant Kitchen & Bathroom Showroom of the Year at the second annual BMJ Industry Awards 2019.
Organised by the Builders Merchants Journal, the awards aim to celebrate the UK merchanting industry and highlight the businesses, brands and people that make the sector so successful.
The company, which has been operating for over 170 years and has a chain of depots across the south of England, has three showrooms based at its Bognor Regis, Chichester and Portsmouth branches.
Phil Walford, Commercial Director at Covers, collected the award at a ceremonial lunch hosted by Natasha Kaplinsky OBE. He said:
“We are absolutely delighted to be named Merchant Kitchen & Bathroom Showroom of the Year for 2019. We were up against some tough competition so to be voted the winner is a truly fantastic achievement.”
The company also received a Highly Commended award in the Best Independent Merchant category.
