From ordering to installing, this guide will take the stress out of your purchase so you can sit back and enjoy your new lawn quickly and easily.

How to order your artificial grass lawn

Step 1: Measure the area for your artificial grass

make sure you have the correct measurements with covers

Our artificial grass offering comes in 2-metre or 4-metre rolls, and you will need to allow for the widest area of your lawn and trim to fit. We can cut the grass to any length up to 25m.

If your area is wider than 4 metres, don't worry, you can always join two pieces together.

Step 2: Make your decision

Now for the fun part - choosing your grass. We've got many options to suit all gardens and all tastes. You can browse the whole range online or pop into your nearest depot for more help and advice.

Step 3: Place your order

Either place your order online, making sure you select either the 2m or 4m wide roll in the grass you like or pop into your nearest depot to place your order over the counter with a member of our sales team.

You can find all the details for our depots here.

Please note - To ensure an absolutely perfect match of grass throughout your new lawn it is important to purchase all of the grass you need at the same time as colour and pile can vary slightly between different production batches.

Now you've ordered your grass, you'll want to know how to install it. Our guide makes it simple and stress free.

How to install your artificial grass lawn

Step 1: Remove your existing grass. You could use a turf cutter to make this easier.

Step 2: Where it is required, edge the area. You can use any type of edging such as timber batten, decorative log edging or stone edging depending on your preferred finish.

Step 3: Lay your base. Although depths can vary due to the condition and use of the area, a typical bases consists of approximately 50-70mm of Type 1 aggregate and approximately a 30mm layer of compacted and levelled granite dust.

make sure there is 10-20mm recess for the grass

When using sand as an alternative to granite dust we recommend 8-mm of Type 1 and a 20mm layer of compacted and levelled sand.

For more advice on this, you can talk to one of the sales team at your nearest depot or contact our landscaping department.

Step 4: We recommend a weed proof membrane to be installed over the entire area and pinned into position.

Step 5: Next, you should roughly position the grass over the area and roll it out, making sure all sides overlap the edges.

Step 6: Allow the grass to settle for a couple of hours.

Step 7: Once the grass has settled and acclimatised, cut the edges in again whichever edging system you opted for using a trimming knife. Make sure the grass sits down into the recess between the edging and the base.

Glue or nail the grass into the relevant ending if required.

Step 8: Once the area is completely cut in all the way around, brush up the pile with a stiff broom.

Step 9: Whilst not essential, some high use areas benefit from an even layer of kiln-dried sand - approximately 5kg/m2. This will add stability and weight to the product, making for a nicer completed project.

Step 10: If you need to join some grass together we recommend using Namgrass joining tape or Aquabond.

we recommend to have your grass installed with pile pointing towards your property
