Stephen Woods, who works at Covers Timber and Builders Merchants’ Portsmouth depot is celebrating an impressive 48 years with the company, becoming the longest serving employee.

Having joined Wheelers Builders Merchants in 1973, Stephen’s employment as a yard assistant continued when Covers acquired the builders merchant’s Gosport and Portsmouth depots in 1994. He has been a dedicated and committed member of the team ever since.

Stephen commented: “Covers is very much a family company that really looks after its staff, which is one of the reasons I have enjoyed working here for so long. I get to meet so many different people and work with a wonderful team – I have no plans to stop anytime soon.”

He’s a highly valued member of our team and has been a terrific asset to Covers. He’s someone who goes the extra mile for his customers and delivers outstanding service.
