The popular, large-headed clout nail is a general-purpose nail with a
larger head to stop any pull through on material being fixed. The clout
nail is commonly used in the fixing of roofing tiles and slates and is
manufactured using aluminium alloy to give the nails a corrosion
resistance of nearly 500 times that of bright nails.
